Can I purchase just the face?
Sorry, we only offer our Kringles as a finished product, ready for display.

How long have you been making Kringles?
Our first raffia Kringle was created in 1995, and he still hangs on the wall of our studio. At that time, Debbie lived in Michigan and her business was called Wooden Keepsakes. We have made many changes in the style and design over the years, as well as creating our curly and feather versions. And, we’re not out of ideas yet – new designs are in the works!

How long does it take to make a Kringle?
Because we work on different components at different times, one Kringle is hard to pinpoint. For example, we cut the material for over 100 fur brims at one sitting.

Can a Kringle be displayed outside?
Our raffia Kringles can be displayed outside IF they are protected from moisture which would soften the papier mache. Hanging on a front door, for example, with a porch overhang, would be fine. We do not recommend outside display for the feather or the curly Kringles as any wind would mess up their beards.

Do you take special orders?
Yes! Over the years we have created some really fun Kringles using themed fabrics and accessories to match a collector’s request and we’ve also created Kringles using fabrics sent to us by the customer. Please give us a call to discuss your specific needs and time-frame.

How do you store a Kringle?
Kringles store very well in boxes. We caution against air-tight boxes for the raffia beards, as humidity and temperature changes could affect them. Also, when storing the raffia Kringle – please know that his beard can actually fold over his face which greatly decreases the storage space needed. Another storage option is to leave the Kringles hanging, but we recommend draping them in a plastic bag or tissue paper to protect them from dust and dirt.

*TIP – Your Kringle is hollow with an opening on the back, this is a great place to stash his storage bag when he’s displayed so it doesn’t become misplaced!
